The refurbishment of the Battersea Power Station into a residential, commercial office, retail and leisure complex is an exciting opportunity to return this iconic building back to London and preserve it is a thoughtful and authentic way for the future. We have been assisting Battersea Power Station Development Company with the 500,000sf of commercial office space within the upper central portion of the Building by looking at ways to optimise the design from a commercial tenant perspective. In addition to looking at varying sizes of tenant occupancies from 2,000sf up to 250,000 sf, we have been developing test fits for marketing purposes to give an indicative idea to prospective tenants how the space could be laid out and take advantage of some of the special features of the building.
Arney Fender Katsalidis is appointed as space planning and interior design consultants advising on tenant related aspects in relation to all commercial office areas in the Battersea Power Station development. Tasks include a review of the Wilkinson Eyre Architects scheme and production of a number of hypothetical space plans to assist the base building review and marketing initiative. The potential tenant community target being creative industry and technology, media and telecom firms.
