James Cheung /
James Cheung is a Director of Arney Fender Katsalidis, leading large multi-disciplinary teams on a diverse range of projects, including office and residential and mixed-use. James’ experience also extends to infrastructure and aviation, cultural, workplace and retail projects, from concept through to construction stage. He has also managed project teams working on developments on a variety of scales in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, ranging from large stadiums to small visitor centres through all RIBA stages.
James is highly experienced in resolving complex project briefs into logical and innovative proposals to meet and exceed client expectations. Highly pragmatic, James excels in making concepts deliverable from design conception to completion. He has a remarkable work ethic, strong leadership skills and over 17 years of experience, and is distinguished as an architect with a passion for problem-solving, to quickly identify rational and creative design and detailing solutions.
James received a First Class Honours at Newcastle University and is a registered ARB and RIBA Chartered Architect.
Prior to joining Arney Fender Katsalidis, James was an Associate at Arup Associates, FLACQ Architects, and BDP and also a masterplanner at Terry Farrell and Partners. James is also a trained Project Manager and a mentor and external examiner for Oxford Brookes University.
