Arney Fender Katsalidis has opened its first Canadian office, formalising its presence in North America.

Headquartered in London, the practice chose Toronto in response to client demand, as well as the business opportunities the largest city in Canada offers. Arney Fender Katsalidis' Canadian clients include professional services firm Deloitte, retailer Loblaws, law firm Cassels Brock and financial services provider BMO.

“With Toronto’s growing global profile, its blossoming talent network, and the added advantage of being able to serve our clients locally, now is the right time to open our studio in the city,” said Earle Arney, Chief Executive Officer. “We look forward to harnessing the business opportunities Toronto presents and to enjoying a similarly ambitious growth trajectory as experienced when our presence in London was established four years’ ago.”

The Toronto office will be led by Associate Director Sho Itoh and will focus on the firm’s expertise in commercial architecture and interior design, as well as working alongside clients on bespoke workplace strategy and design — a unique offering to the Canadian market.

“Our new Toronto base represents both our commitment to this a burgeoning global city and to continuing to offer our clients an approach which brings together our experience and enthusiasm in the delivery of world-leading, ambitious design.” said Arney.

Arney Fender Katsalidis is headquartered in London with sister studios, Fender Katsalidis, operating in Australia and together has more than 25 years’ of collective, award-winning experience and prides itself in offering clients design excellence and leading client service. The practice has completed projects in Canada, the UK, Asia and Australia and is currently undertaking work in the Middle East and Malaysia.

In Canada, Arney Fender Katsalidis has completed projects in Montreal (Deloitte HQ), Calgary (Brookfield Place Calgary) and Toronto (Deloitte HQ).
